SSV Dedicated Damper

THE MOST WINNING DAMPER FOR SSV

Extreme Racing Shox have been at the forehead of suspension technology in the world of OFF-ROAD since 1991 introducing
winning and unique technology for the famous Citroen Zx Paris/Dakar squad!

EXT have now completly renewed the Off-Road damper line introducing new technology from our winning Rally
applications into SSV and UTV : here is the new V2.1 THAR version! Not only Can-Am and Polaris, the brand new V2.1

Thar is adaptable to any side-by-side and Off-Road vehicle.

TECHNOLOGY and features

ADJUSTABLE HBC

The HBC system is a position sensitive damper valve comprised of a secondary piston assembled below the main one, and an inner tube near the bottom of the damper. When the damper gets close to the end of the stroke, the secondary piston goes inside the inner tube, forcing the oil flow through a calibrated orifice that characterizes the end stroke ramp up.

HYDRAULIC REBOUND STOP

Hydraulic rebound end stroke control activated on the last few centimeters of rebound stroke, that drastically increase rebound force to control platform movement on full extension.

Position Spring Type Length (L) Rates (K)
FRONT SHORT SPRING 180 mm K60, K70, K80
MAIN SPRING 360 mm K50, K55, K60
REAR SHORT SPRING 180 mm K70, K80
MAIN SPRING 460 mm K60, K70, K75, K80

Specifications

  • 55 mm piston diameter to improve damping precision and consistency, offering better control smoother performance under demanding conditions.
  •  22 mm shaft diameter to increase structural strength and resistance to bending, enhancing
    durability and stability.
  • Chrome-plated shaft for high smoothness and durability. The chrome coating reduces friction,
ensures smoother movement, and protects against wear and corrosion over time.
  • Two-way compression valve (separate high- and low-speed compression adjustment) to enable
independent tuning for different types of impacts, improving both comfort on small bumps and control
    on larger hits.
  • Rebound adjustment on the lower eye of the shock absorber to allow easy and precise control of how
quickly the shock returns after compression, improving traction, stability, and ride feel.
Vehicle Position Length Stroke / Travel
