Extreme Racing Shox is a leading Italian engineering company in damper system, motions control for motorsport racing, OE automotive, motorcycle, MTB industry, biomedical and seismic sector either active or passive systems.
The know-how gained since the early 1980s has been poured into highly performing products currently used in ultra-high level competitions such as WRC, F1, off-road, motocross and MTB.
Attention to detail, R&D research and new performance levels are the foundations on which EXT operates as a world leader.
HISTORY
Since its founding in 2011, EXT has grown steadily year after year. Today, EXT has a team of 35 highly skilled employees who work with passion and determination.
Our Technical Director, Franco Fratton, is one of the world’s most experienced suspension engineers, credited with introducing numerous technical innovations in racing damper solutions since 1985. He began his career in the 1970s as an R&D engineer at Fox Shocks Racing, where he contributed to a new era in racing damper technologies and knowledge.
In 1985, he worked with Ferrari F1 as a damper systems consultant, introducing the first 3-way adjustable dampers. From the 1990s to the 2010s, he collaborated with some of the world’s top companies, developing many of the technologies widely used today.
Since joining EXT in 2011, Franco has kept our focus firmly on research and development as a core principle, allowing us to establish an undisputed leadership in damper innovation.
